How long evictions take nationally
For private landlords' standard possession claims in Q2 2026, the median was 8.0 wks from claim to possession order and 24.6 wks from claim to bailiff repossession (average 33.6 wks). MoJ does not publish timings for individual courts, so the table below uses volumes instead.
